Hampstead Drive Medical Centre (HDMC) is located just off the Princes Fwy. We are walking distance to Werribee Pacific Shopping Centre as well as Hoppers Crossing train station. We have off street parking available for our patients at the rear of the clinic.
We are a mixed billing clinic. Those patients 16 and under and 80 and over are bulk billed. All other patients will be privately billed, regardless of pension or health care card. All Saturday appointments will be billed privately regardless of age. All appointments must be paid for via cash, eftpos, mastercard or visa at the end of your consultation. Non attendance and late cancellation (less than 2 hours) will incur a $50 fee. Any enquiries regarding billing please call the clinic for further clarification.
Yes, we do have a waiting area where you can sit away from other people. Alternatively, please speak with a reception staff member upon arrival and we will arrange an area for you.
Patients who have a high risk condition or deteriorating symptoms are asked to advise reception staff immediately. These may include, but not limited to:
- Chest pain
- Severe bleeding
- Difficulty breathing
- Fitting
- Head / Spinal injury
- Severe allergic reaction
- Loss of consciousness
Under Medicare, telehealth consultations are only available to existing patients who have seen their GP in person in the last 12 months. All new patients are welcome to visit our medical centre for a GP consultation in-person.
Telehealth consultations may be organised via our online booking system – Hotdoc or by chatting with our reception staff and requesting a telehealth consultation. Please ensure if you are using the online booking system, you select the option for telephone appointment.
You may receive a text message or a notification when all pathology results have been returned to the referring doctor. When you receive this notification, please book an appointment to discuss the results with your doctor. Reception staff will not provide results over the phone.
We are committed to providing all our patients with the best preventative health care available. Due to this, at times we may contact you with a reminder notice, text message or telephone call offering you preventative health care services appropriate to your health care.
If you do not wish to receive such notification, please let reception staff know.
